The Calgary Foundation
The Kayak Foundation at the Calgary Foundation awarded a grant of $8,000.00 to the Bow Valley SPCA for core programs. We are gratified that this funding has been an important component of our educational efforts and our spay/neuter program. Support from this foundation helps us to fulfill our commitment to our mission.

On July 2008 Bow Valley SPCA received a very important Grant from PetSmart Charities of Canada in the amount of $9,725.00. This grant has been awarded to us for our Pre-Adoption Spay/Neuter Program. We would like to express our gratitude to PetSmart Charities of Canada for their support of this program which helps us to continue with our commitment to have 100% pre-adoption spayed/neutered animals going into their new, forever families.

Recurring Donation
Jim McIvor began an on-going donation program to the Bow Valley SPCA two years ago, when Tashi arrived. “I've owned three wonderful golden retrievers over the last 17 years, and now have two golden doodles, Tashi, and her best buddy, Murphie, in my life. I wanted to make my main charitable donation each year to the Bow Valley SPCA, and do it in a way that would remind me of all the great canine companionship I've received. I decided to donate $100 on each dog’s birthday, each and every year.”

Wild Rose Foundation
The Bow Valley SPCA would like to thank the Wild Rose Foundation Board of Directors for their generous grant of $46 000. This grant has been earmarked to cover staffing costs for the new Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre. The Bow Valley SPCA has received approval to use these funds specifically to aid in the hiring of an Adoption Centre Manager. Grant funds such as these are made available through lottery revenue and the Alberta Lottery Fund.
