Canmore Canadian Tire store manager, Adam Rhind, invited the Bow Valley SPCA into his store WITH DOGS. The objective for the SPCA was to show off a couple of its dogs and to increase exposure to the the services we provide. Canadian Tire was perfectly willing to allow cats as well, but the cats at the Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre tend to react to being moved and seem to be stressed. Thus two dogs were there to represent our current residents (8 dogs and 28 cats).
A number of people stopped to give the dogs a pet and find out more about the services offered; from free spay/neuter to an informational seminar being offered on March 10. And of course they found out more about the great pets just waiting for their forever home.
