Come, Sit, Stay Learn and Play Seminar--answers dog owners most pressing questions

The Bow Valley SPCA is offering a public seminar that should attract every dog owner within 150 kilometers.  The topics covered include:

DOGS 101--General information about dogs--suitable for kids too
LIFE CYCLE OF A DOG--Pup to Mature dog---health issues/concerns
TREIBBALL DEMONSTRATION--Treibball (urban herding) involves 8 large balls, two goal posts and your dog, and you it is the hottest new dog sport to sweep North America
KEEPING WILD LIFE AND YOUR DOG SAFE (WILDSMART P RESENTATION)--Wildlife interactions with domestic dogs
PET FIRST AID--Seasonal First Aid (Summer Heat Exhaustion/Dehydration and Winter Frost Bite/Hyperthermia)

Details about the Seminar

When: March 10, 2012: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Where: Canmore Miners' Union Hall located at 728 7th Street, Canmore, Alberta

Cost: Registration is $49 [100 seats available] Kids under 16 are FREE

  • Payment with credit cards can be done on-line, or Payment by cash, cheque or debit card can be completed at the Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre, located at 123 BOw Meadows Crescent, Canmore, Alberta

Bring Your Own Lunch (BYOL) or get a quick bite at one of the local restaurants/coffee shops within a block of the seminar
