About Chairman Meow
I am in a foster home but I am still AVAILABLE for adoption!
Hey, I'm Chairman Meow! I'm an older gent who was found wandering around town all by my lonesome. I was in a pretty sorry state - skin and bones, very frail, covered in painful mattes, and with huge bulging cysts on my body from old wounds. I'm glad that some kind humans brought me to the SPCA because I've been getting the royal treatment since arriving here! I'm in a foster home where I can get lots of TLC while I start feeling a bit better, and I prefer it compared to the busy atmosphere of the shelter. I'm no spring chicken, it's true, and I do have some health conditions common for senior cats. I'm on a special diet to help my kidneys, I have a heart murmur, and I may need some dental work done (the vets are just waiting for me to fatten up before deciding if I am fit for surgery). I also tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus, which is a disease that impairs a cats immune system and can be linked to cancer, but I'm not showing any symptoms at this time. However, because of this condition, I'll need to be the only cat in the house, but that's how I prefer it anyways! I'm very sweet and mellow, and despite my health quirks, I am actually doing really well for my age, especially considering I had been living outside for a long time. I'm looking for a calm and quiet home to live out my retirement years, which I hope come with lots of lap cuddles and delicious food! Despite being a senior, I have my moments of playfulness, and I love a good roll around in some cat nip. I just want to enjoy the finer things in life! I know I'll need a special home, but I hope that someone is out there that would give me a warm safe place to enjoy the time I have left, which could be years still!
Dog-friendly: Untested, likely prefer a no-dog household
Cat-friendly: No
Kid-friendly: Adult-only household preferred
