Ellie

My name is Ellie. I am a senior lady and I am looking for the purrfect retirement home. I haven't had the easiest past. I was found outside in rough shape after clearly being homeless for some time, and had some nasty people not treating me very well when I tried to find warm shelter. However, a nice human saved me and brought me to a vet clinic here in town and I am so grateful! When they say our true colors show through when we are given love, they are correct. I healed up pretty quickly once I knew I was in good hands, and I've even been spotted playing! Fun fact about me - I only have a few teeth! I still enjoy my meals though and it doesn't stop me from gobbling up treats. I tried going home with two other cats, but I am a lady that likes her peace and quiet, and would be much happier in a single-cat home as I can be territorial around other cats as I spent so much time outdoors trying to survive. I would love a home with someone who is home more often than not and who has lots of time for cuddles and pets - I've spent way too much time alone, so I would like to make up for it. I may not be able to see or hear very well, but I am a very gentle and calm companion, and won't be much trouble as I spend my days snoozing and slowly exploring my environment. I would really love to spend my retirement with a lovely quiet human or two, so come down to meet me!
