About Squeaks

We are pleased to announce that Squeaks was adopted on Feb. 18, 2019
Our special little (or not so little...) dude went home today! Squeaks lost his voice and the tips of his ears to frost bite, and to put the cherry on top of it all, he was diagnosed with FIV - a condition that suppresses a cats immune system, making Squeaks way more susceptible to illnesses that could be harmless to healthy cats, but could turn into a life-threatening situation for him! This guys endless 'squeaks' and his cuddly demeanor won over the hearts of all of us here at the Centre. He has now found his forever home! We are going to miss him, but are happy to see another happy ending for one of our cats!
Squeaks was transferred to us from Saskatchewan. He lost his ears and voice to frost bite before he was rescued by an organization there. His name resembles the tiny 'squeaks' he can make sometimes when he wants to say hello! Squeaks also has FIV - FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV typically causes a weakening of the cat's immune system. It is the same class of virus as HIV (a lentivirus); however, only cats can get FIV. People and dogs cannot.

Squeaks can still live a happy and healthy life. He will need a one cat household and needs to be kept indoors to avoid illness! Despite all of his hardships, Squeaks is pretty great. He is a sweet heart and he absolutely loves cuddles! This special guy needs a forever home. Come and meet him today!
