Hey, I'm Betty! I'm a happy-go-lucky little pup looking for a great new family to join after being found living outdoors. I've already stolen a lot of hearts in a short time, so I hope that means I might win over someone that wants to bring me home for good! I'm just a little lady right now, but I've got a larger-than-life personality with lots of puppy spunk and a big girl bark. I'm looking for a home that will help me to navigate the great wide world and teach me how to be the best canine citizen I can be, all the while providing LOTS of snuggles and snacks!

I can be defensive around dogs right now, as I likely had to protect myself and fend for myself while I was living outside. I think I'll be okay with other dogs once I realize I'm safe and they won't hurt me, but I'll need patient and slow introductions to any canine friends while I realize that they can be fun to play with. I'd be happy to join a family with kids, but dog-savvy kids would be best because I'm in my land shark phase of puppyhood and am still learning to be gentle with my mouth. I just want to play!

I'm learning basic obedience commands, and how to walk on a leash, and the hoomans at the shelter keep telling me how smart (and absolutely adorable) I am. I'd love to continue my training in a home that can provide structure and boundaries and teach me lots of new things!
