We are pleased to announce that Artoo was adopted on Sept. 6, 2024

Being a bit of a shy guy with some health complications, we thought that Artoo might fly under the radar for a bit before finding his forever home. But, that wasn't quite the case! Artoo was transferred to us from another shelter in hopes that our no-cage facility and ability to provide one-on-one behaviour plans might help feral farm-cat Artoo come out of his shell. Artoo surprised us all, and within just a few short weeks (and the help of some lickable cat treat bribery!) he showed us his sweet and snuggly side. Soon, he turned on the charm for his new owner, who came out of the room excitedly exclaiming that he was most definitely her cat. Sounds to us like she was the Chosen One! We hear that after a few days of hiding and learning that he's safe, Artoo is back to his snuggly old self, and is even well on his way to becoming a pampered lap cat. May the Force be With You Artoo!

Bee-doo-eee-dee-too! Hi there, I'm Artoo! Just like the Droid from Star Wars, I came from a farm life originally and I'm on the search for my fast and faithful crew. I've had a rough start and not much exposure to people, so I can be pretty shy and reserved (though I'll tell you if you're unwanted in my space). However, I think with time, patience and love I'll turn into your very own little shadow! My favourite things are cozy corners, lickable cat treats and respect for personal space. While I had a life outside, I'm quite enjoying the comforts of indoor life, and would thrive in a stable home where safety is top priority. You may notice I'm a bit bald right now (I recently had a lion cut to help with some bad mats), but I promise I'll be handsome! Are you my only hope to my forever home?
