We are pleased to announce that Ethel was adopted on July 11, 2025

When Ethel first arrived to the Bow Valley SPCA, we thought it would take no time for her to capture hearts and find a forever home. With her beautiful features, super sweet personality, and love of climbing into laps for cuddles she was pretty close to the purrfect cat. We were surprised when time after time, and despite visitors loving her, there was no adoption application. However, Ethel was never bothered — she knew her perfect furrever was coming and it was worth the wait! Now she gets to spend her days with two amazing humans, a feline friend, and all the toy mouse hunting her heart desires!

Hi I'm Ethel! I may come across as a bit more cautious at first, but after I've taken a minute to assess the situation, I am a sweet and lovable girl that loves pets and attention. I enjoy surveying the world from high perches, and can often be spotted birdwatching out the window (or pawing at the glass to try to get people to come say hi to me!) I've got a gentle and sweet demeanour, and stunning markings!
