About Gaston

We are pleased to announce that Gaston was adopted on April 17, 2026
It’s stories like Gaston’s that remind us just how resilient animals truly are. When he first arrived at the Centre he was terrified, shut down, and furious, and he kept the world at arm’s length. But everything changed once he joined our general population and began receiving daily visitors! After having his painful matts removed (and debuting a VERY handsome lion cut), Gaston slowly discovered that the consistent, gentle, and nonjudgmental care from our staff, volunteers, and public visitors was something he could trust. Before long, he wasn’t just tolerating attention, he was seeking it out! Greeting his growing fan club daily with confidence and charm. It was only a matter of time before someone fell completely in love with his new-found sparkle and knew they had to bring him home. Now, Gaston is beginning his next chapter with people who see his wonderful spirit and are committed to helping his confidence continue to grow. Congratulations, Gaston. “This is the day your dreams come true.” 🧡
I'm a handsome long-haired panther currently rocking a very dignified lion cut. I'm silky smooth and absolutely convinced I'm still the fiercest creature in the room. I came to the Centre a scared and fractious boy, but with the patience and kindness of the BVSPCA staff and volunteers, I have learned to absolutely love human affection! Underneath all that initial spice is a cat who's had a rough time and is still figuring out that I'm safe, but is totally down to cuddle and will ask any visitor to kindly scratch me under the chin with a big lion-cat stretch and my paws on your knees.

Could you be the one to take a chance on me, and continue to show me just how safe and loved I can be? I'd be forever grateful!

Dog-friendly: Untested, would likely prefer a home without
Cat-friendly: Yes
Kid-friendly: Yes, with mature Cat-savvy kids.
Do I Need Special Care?: I have long fur that's prone to matting, so regular brushing will need to be part of my routine.
