About Tilly

Hi, I'm Tilly! I've had quite the journey to get where I am today, but I'm ready to turn the page and start my next chapter, one that I hope includes finding a forever family of my very own. Before I tell you my story, I want you to know that I'm a sweet, spunky, affectionate little kitty who hasn't let my past define me. I'll make an amazing adventure companion, and I'm sweeter than words can describe. I greet everyone I meet with instant purrs, enthusiastic headbutts, and a whole lot of love. Despite everything I've been through, I know there's someone out there who will see just how special I am.

I first came to the BVSPCA as a stray kitten and was adopted into a wonderful family. Just a few months later, I became critically ill. Although my family did everything they could for me, they sadly couldn't continue my care, so I returned to the BVSPCA.I was diagnosed with neurological Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a once-devastating disease that caused me to become completely paralyzed in just a few days. Thankfully, with the support of the BVSPCA and an incredible veterinary team, I was able to start lifesaving treatment. Nearly four months later, I'm officially healthy, medically cleared, and ready to find my forever home!

I still have a bit of a wobbly walk, and that's likely something that will always be part of me, but it certainly doesn't slow me down! I love playing, chasing toys, and have even started exploring the beautiful Bow Valley from the comfort of my cat backpack with my foster family. Every day is another adventure, and I'm making the most of this incredible second chance. I'm so grateful to the BVSPCA and everyone who helped me on my journey. I've come so far, from being completely paralyzed to living a happy, playful life again. Now all I need is one more second chance: a family to call my own. If you're looking for a resilient, affectionate, adventure-loving companion, I can't wait to meet you!

Dog-friendly: Yes, lives with a dog in her current foster, but requires a slow introduction
Cat-friendly: Yes, has lived with cats in the past, but requires a slow introduction
Kid-friendly: Yes
Do I Need Special Care?: I had neurological FIP in the past, but thanks to treatment and lots of TLC, I have been medically cleared by my veterinary team and am ready to find my forever home! I don't require any special day-to-day care because of my history, but as with any pet, regular veterinary checkups and a loving home will help keep me feeling my best. There is a low chance of a recurrence, but my prognosis is very good, and chance of relapse is minimal.
