About Lightening

We are pleased to announce that Lightening was adopted on Feb. 15, 2023
After half a year in our care, Lightning has finally left the building! While not the most extroverted cat in her room, Lightning was sweet, snuggly, and gentle, and we know that she is going to blossom in her new home. After watching all her friends get adopted over the last half year, it was about time for this gorgeous gal to head to a home of her own!
The names Lightening, and I'll would love to find my furever home in a 'flash'! As you can tell I like a good dad joke, but I also have a serious side - it involves requesting ear scratches and receiving snacks AND ensuring they are received efficiently and effectively. I am a lady that likes my people, but I also am good with having my own space. A perch overlooking the world is a preferred sitting point for me! I also really enjoy stretching on big beds while purring and happily kneading a blanket. The shelter had a giant dog bed that a dog had started to rip up, and I have totally claimed it as mine and insisted they put it in my room. I watched my friend Ivy raise a family, but her and her babies have went home and now I think I am ready to find my own family! Both playful and cuddly, not to mention adorable AND a polydactyl (meaning I have mitten paws and extra toes!), I'm seriously a catch!
