About Sox

We are pleased to announce that Sox was adopted on Sept. 21, 2023
My name is Sox! I arrived here with my buddy Marley, who has already been adopted. In typical cat fashion, I do enjoy affection but on my own terms. I don't like being picked up or having my tail touched, but with people I know and trust, I will rub up aaaaall over them giving head butts and weaving between their legs, and love a head scratch or chin tickle! I am prone to getting overstimulated with too much petting, but once you learn to read my signals of when I've had enough, I'll start feeling more comfortable which actually results in me being that much more affectionate! I like being where the action is, so I would make a great work-from-home buddy if I could lounge on your desk and snooze the day away. I can get anxious in new environments, so I think my ideal home wouldn't have too many rowdy people, and would give me my space when I need it. I have a history of urinary crystals, so I am being fed a urinary diet and should stay on this lifelong to prevent any recurrences. I haven't had any issues recently though, and am a healthy boy. I'm excited to move into a calm and loving home because the shelter environment isn't really my jam. I'd love to head home with you!

Dog-friendly: Untested, likely prefer a no-dog household
Cat-friendly: Selective
Kid-friendly: Older kids recommended
