We are pleased to announce that Waffles was adopted on March 22, 2023

Waffles has headed home, and even better he headed home with his bonded bestie Squirt. Although initially very skittish and reserved, Squirt and Waffles slowly began trusting humans and showing their true colours while in our care. In a home environment, we know that these two sweet boys will only continue to build trust and confidence, and are well on their way to turning into lovable lap cats. It brings us a little extra joy when Bonded Pairs go home, as they are generally more challenging to adopt out and spend longer in the shelter. But we think Bonded Pairs are great, and encourage anyone to consider adopting two cats, especially those that already have an unbreakable bond!

Hey I'm Waffles! I came to the BVSPCA from Lethbridge with my bestie Squirt, and we would love to find a home together! We are what they call a bonded pair, meaning that we don't want to live life without one another. It's been a big transition to come here, so we are both still a bit nervous and taking time to observe our surroundings. We really enjoy snuggling up together under blankets, but I know we have it in us to be playful and affectionate kitties once we realize we're somewhere safe! I am okay with gentle affection if you approach me slowly, but for now I still prefer to have my own space. I definitely have it in me to be snuggler though, I just need time and patience!
