Willow

Willow arrived to us as a shy, shut down, semi-feral cat. While we knew it would take time for her to realize that humans are kind, we could tell that beneath her terrified exterior was a sweet-natured, gentle kitty who craved affection. We met Willow where she was, and over the course of many months showed her that we would go at her pace, and allow her the time she needed to build confidence. Seemingly all of a sudden (although in actuality, was the gradual result of months of behavioural work), Willow decided that pets were actually pretty good, and she couldn’t get enough of them! Her newfound confidence sparked the interest of some wonderful adopters who understood the importance of going slow with her, and continuing to help build her up. We know that in a home that is patient, quiet, and kind, Willow is going to continue to make strides toward becoming her truest self, and we’re so happy for her!
