About Parker

Hi! I'm Parker, originally dubbed Peter Parker for my friendly-neighbourhood-pup demeanor, and I am so ready to come join your family/squad! Before arriving at the Centre, I had a dramatic run-in with a vehicle. It cost me my back right leg, but not my charm, courage, or superhero spirit. My superpowers include: an ultra-gentle approach, mega-social people skills, a supersonic husky bark, and legendary one-legged stretches. I'm still a superhero-in-training, working hard to master my basic commands. Luckily, I'm snack-powered and haven't met a treat I didn't like. Rewards will be key to helping me level up! I'd love a home with people who are excited to help me grow through consistent, positive training sessions. The leash is still a new concept for me, and I haven't been tested with unfamiliar dogs on walks just yet-but so far, I'm open to the idea! I can't wait to join you on your neighbourhood adventures and show you just how super a three-legged pup can be!

Dog-friendly: Untested
Cat-friendly: Untested
Kid-friendly: Untested, likely yes.
Do I Need Special Care?: I won a battle with a motor vehicle that cost me my right hind leg, but thanks to my remarkable healing powers, I've bounced back and am nearly fully recovered. The vets say I'm a strong and healthy guy with no current medical concerns. As I get older, I might need a little extra support, especially for the joints that do all the work now that I'm walking on three legs. My people will likely need to keep an eye on things to make sure I stay comfortable and mobile for years to come
