Sparrow

Hi there, I'm Sparrow! I may be 12 years young, but I still have so much love to give, and I'm ready to find my perfect "retirement home," where I can settle in, slow down, and be someone's very cherished girl. My favourite things in life are simple and sweet: soft cozy dog beds, gentle strolls where I can take my time sniffing the world, basking in a patch of sunshine, and - very importantly - SNACKS. I take my snacking seriously and will happily demonstrate my appreciation! Most of all, I adore quiet moments close to my people such as snuggles, soft pets, and just being near you.

I'm a gentle soul through and through. I don't need big adventures or busy days (although I'm an outdoor lover at heart), and I'm happiest with a calm routine and a loving human by my side. What I'm really looking for is someone who sees the beauty in a dog like me, and someone who understands that my golden years deserve to be filled with comfort, patience, and love. In return, I promise to be a loyal, gentle companion who will quietly fill your home with warmth.

Dog-friendly: Yes, may not appreciate overly rowdy/playful dogs that enjoy rough-housing
Cat-friendly: Untested, likely yes with slow introductions and training
Kid-friendly: Yes! I have grown up around kids.
Do I Need Special Care?: As a senior lady, I do have some arthritis, which is being managed with a monthly injection of a medication administered by a veterinarian. I appreciate a slower pace and may have a bit of reduced mobility some days. A home that is able to provide accommodations (such as non-slip rugs on stairs/hardwood, ramps into the car as I get older, etc.) and with lots of comfy resting spots would be a dream come true for me. I also have a blocked salivary gland, which will require surgical removal. I will be ready to head home once I've had my surgery and have fully recovered. Once removed, this shouldn't cause any long-term issues!
