2023 - 34th Annual Mayor's Volunteer Celebration
In summer of 2023 we submitted a group nomination for the volunteers of the Bow Valley SPCA for the Mayor's Volunteer Celebration. This celebration is "... an opportunity to recognize and thank individuals or groups of hard-working volunteers for all that they give to our community. It acknowledges those people who are so important to the success of community fundraising efforts, programs, and activities, sporting events, organizations, and/or teams." (Town of Canmore)
As a not-for-profit organization, we wanted to publicly recognize all that our amazing volunteers do. Without our heroes in blue shirts, the Bow Valley SPCA would not be possible.
On December 5, 2023 we attended the Celebration and are proud that our volunteers received a certificate of recognition and appreciation for all their work.
