A Vision in Motion

April has been a huge month for our Shed Shop! From a blow-out garage sale to building demolition, changes have been afoot!

For many years, our grey walled shed with its red door has been the landmark and home of our Shed Shop - our second hand pet supply store. This building has almost become an iconic part of the BVSPCA. While it has served us faithfully, time and the elements of the mountains have taken their toll. To continue providing this store to our community, we have been in the process of retiring the old building, to bring in a new structure.

If you drive into our parking lot, you will notice the old building is now gone, and in its place is space for possibility and new beginnings. We want to extend a shout-out and deep thanks to Caver Industries, who took on the huge task of demolishing and removing the old structure. We are so grateful for their hard work and generosity in helping us with this significant step.

But don't worry! Just because the Shed Shop building is gone, doesn't mean that it's closed. Our Shed Shop has temporarily relocated inside the Adoption Centre, and is open during public hours (Wed. to Sat., noon to 4pm).

We are hopeful that by fall 2025, we will have a new building from which we can run our Shed Shop and continue to serve our community. Keep an eye out for announcements as to the day we will be cutting the Red Ribbon!
