Brain Games at the Centre

At the Bow Valley SPCA we try to keep the dogs stimulated and mentally alert. Until recently we used training programs and agility training as well as regular walks off of our site.  Susan Flaherty, our most senior trainer, introduced the idea of BRAIN GAMES as an addition to keep the dogs stimulated. This video shows the first efforts (both very successful) with two of our great dogs and 4 of our unbelievable volunteers. 

Shasta did great, inspite of the fact that she really wanted to take the wooden cylinder and give it a chew.  Sierra was amazingly quick, but we found out she had been in training with a similar puzzle a few days before (Kevin, one of the Animal Care Attendants introduced her to the challenge before the volunteers did their training).
