BVSPCA Participates in Grade 9 Work Study Pilot Program

Canmore Collegiate High School and Bow Valley SPCA collaborated on a Grade 9 Work Study Pilot  Program on Jan 22- 26.  Two Grade 9 students spent the week at  Bow Valley SPCA with Resident Animals,  Staff, and  volunteers.      

The students  presented themselves with eagerness to learn, compassion for the animals and  were attentive to learning the operations of running an animal shelter.   Spending time with puppies and kittens and learning Open Paws training program were the highlights.   Bow River Veterinary Clinic invited the students to spend an afternoon in an animal hospital   learning animal care. 

 

The Work Pilot  Project was a positive experience for all concerned especially the Resident Animals who received extra love and attention.
