CCHS Leadership Class & Demo Dog Named Rescue

Canmore Collegiate Leadership Class are sporting their Bow Valley SPCA T-Shirts. On April 19th,  five leadership students under the guidance of  two teachers,  and the well behaved BVSPCA  demo dog, Rescue, enjoyed mentoring Grade 1 students at Alpenglow School.  Yellow book marks were made by the Grade 1 students a  reminder  if they see a dog in the community with a yellow ribbon on their leash to give the dog space.  

They also learned to Never approach a strange dog and if meeting someone approaching with a dog always ask  the handler's  permission's to approach and only do so  when a dog is in a sit.   Grade 1 students guided by  the Leadership Class practiced their safe  approach on  Rescue.
