Education Committee supports Fire Prevention and Safety
Thu, 8 Oct 2015

Canmore Fire-Rescue attended schools in The Bow Valley teaching Fire Prevention to Pre-School to Grade 2, from Oct 5 to 8.
Messages the students learned were:
-Each home should have working Smoke Detectors especially outside bedrooms.
-Each family should have an escape plan that is practised regularly.
-BVSPCA attended presentations, confirming that in case of fire leave your pets, exit the house and let the Fire Fighters rescue your pet.
Labels sponsored by BVSPCA and The Banff Canmore Community Foundation were issued to each student to be displayed on their resident door or window informing Fire Fighters how many pets reside in the house, to be rescued.
