Fish with Friends

The following is a wonderful story about how fishing with friends turned into an amazing fundraiser to support dogs and cats in need at the Bow Valley SPCA.

"On a recent fishing trip to Telegraph Cove on Vancouver Island - organized by Don and Hannah Pestell - a group of fishers got together for a fishing adventure.

Our good friend and Captain, Tim Renton, put us on some excellent fishing and our bounty was plentiful. After returning, an idea to share some of this bounty was hatched and a fish and chips luncheon at The Wood Restaurant, in support of our Bow Valley SPCA, was served by Jeff Whilfield and his most excellent staff.

Needless to say, the fish was excellent and a good time was had by all!

Also, I spoke with a friend who could not make the luncheon but informed me that he was making a donation anyways and wanted to help to the effort. Much to my surprise, an additional $3,000 was also donated, for a total of $4,300!
