Wed, 4 May 2016

Monday May 2, 2016 the Bow Valley Resident Animals welcomed a visit from Grade 10 Francophone School Students (École Notre-Dame des Monts). Educators Dawna Evans and Roberta Richardson greeted the students and toured the facility. Students learned each animal’s story how they came to be Residents of BVSPCA, and experienced how positive association and reward training, develops trust. Highlights included learning to read a dog’s and a cat’s body language, and playing with the cats. Respect for the animals by students is inspiring. Designing educational posters in French, sharing their experience with fellow students, Grade 10 students will help to educate the Bow Valley; regarding Pet Responsibility and Humane Treatment.
