SPCA Educators Visit Elizabeth Rummel School
Red, a six year old Labrador Retriever, is waiting to meet his forever family while in residence at the Bow Valley SPCA. He enjoyed meeting the Kindergarten Class taught by Mme Anna on May 7th at Elizabeth Rummel School. The students were attentive while Bow Valley SPCA Educators, Dawna, Roberta, and Meghan, demonstrated How To Approach A Dog Safely. Red, sported a Yellow Ribbon on his leash as part of the Yellow Dog Project; a global program used by shelters. This ribbon signifies the dog is in training and please give it space.
Showing their good manners the class enjoyed the presentation while Red offered his best dog manners. The students learned the importance of a well trained dog in the community. Keen to help the homeless animals, the class will share the lessons learned on dog communication with others.
