Spring Cleaning--Amazing Support from BVSPCA Volunteers

On April 21, twenty people came to the Bow Valley SPCA with one specific goal in mind. Clean up the grounds the dog walk in every day. There was a lot of mess to clean up and there were a lot of dead branches that needed to be pruned. These dedicated volunteers made a difference. Here is what Helen Elgie, the Chairperson for Volunteers had to say,

"As National Volunteer Week draws to a close the Bow Valley SPCA, staff and each of our residents, extend our heartfelt thanks and recognize our dedicated Volunteers who support us day in, day out; month after month; year in year out, enabling the Centre to remain sustainable so we can continue to care for and re-home stray and abandoned dogs & cats and and make a difference in their lives.

Today is just one more example of our Volunteer commitment when 20 individuals joined us to clean up our yard and start getting ready for spring - not the most glamorous task, but the impact was impressive. The group then enjoyed each others company and feasted on some tasty pizzas, with the support of Panago Pizza.
