Talk About Cooperation--Saving 5 Kittens
Sat, 21 Jul 2012

Calgary Humane Society was full and yet they had 5 newly discovered kittens in a back yard--no mom! So they got Fancy (now Jewel) a mother cat that just finished nursing her own litter, to accept these 5 cuties. Then they asked the Bow Valley SPCA to take the mom and the kittens. We did!
After a few weeks with us, one of our volunteers agreed to foster the 5 kittens and their new mom. The idea of this was to make sure the kittens were well socialized by being exposed to people and a home environment. Now they are back at the Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre and will soon be available for adoption. All that is needed is a bit more cooperation from the cat lovers that will become their new owners.
