Thank You Sonya White!

Sonya White, the Adoption Centre Manager at the Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre since we opened in 2007, has announced her resignation.  The board, staff, and volunteers have all expressed their regret.  If the dogs and cats could speak, they would join us in mourning our loss.  We all thank Sonya for her service, commitment, and especially her passion for the dogs and cats!

In Sonya’s own words,

“After 11 years of dedicated service to The Bow Valley SPCA, I made the very difficult decision to step down as the very first manager of the first No Kill No Cage Adoption Centre in Canada. As many people know, this has always been much more than a job to me. This place, these people, and especially the animals have become my family and my home. I have been unbelievably blessed by being able to adopt 8 dogs and 7 cats from the Bow Valley SPCA. They taught me everything I need to know about love and kindness. My passion for helping animals is still going strong, but my stamina is waning so I know it is time to hand over the reins to someone new. I look forward to my continued involvement with the BVSPCA as I start the next chapter of my life.”
