On June 13th the Grade 1 classes at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy had a special visitor, Creed, the Bow Valley SPCA’s first successfully adopted dog.  Creed was adopted in June 2007 by Pam Doyle, a well-known photographer in the Bow Valley and came to the classrooms with Bow Valley SPCA educators, Seb Osborn and Roberta Richardson.  The students learned about Creed's success story and the importance of choosing the right pet for your lifestyle.   Creed also helped to demonstrate How to Approach a Dog Safely.  Summer presents challenges for pet safety: encountering wildlife; having your dog on leash and never leaving an animal in a vehicle on a hot day were topics covered.  These well-mannered students shared in questions and answers and made for an informative and fun session.
