We Called, You Answered!

In July, we sent out an SOS to ask for your help in helping one of our residents in need: Jade. This sweet girl had been in chronic pain from an injury to her leg that was likely sustained when she was a puppy. Upon medical examination, it was determined that the best course of care for Jade would be amputation of her leg: an intensive surgery that would change her life for the better! 

Now in recovery from her surgery, Jade is doing amazing! She has remained full of energy, spunk, and a love for life and readiness to go go go! On the last part of her healing journey, Jade is free from crate rest and passed her veterinary recheck with flying colors. And to top it off, Jade may have found her forever home along the way.

We know we say it all the time, but we are blown away by the generosity and donations that have come in to help raise funds for Jade’s surgery. When we called for help, you answered! Our goal was $6,500 and in just one month you have raised $7,335!

From Jade, and each one of us here at the Bow Valley SPCA, thank you to every one who donated, helped spread the news, and sent good thoughts Jade’s way. Because of you, she can now live a life free from pain and full of new possibilities!
