About Poptart

We are pleased to announce that Poptart was adopted on April 25, 2022
After almost a year in our care, Poptart found a loving home to join! Poptart arrived with a crew of cats from a terrible hoarding situation, and so he was never too keen on affection, rarely letting people get near enough to touch him. But despite not being won over by affection just yet, Poptart's curious, playful, and silly personality shone through, and his new owners decided to take a chance on this sweet boy. He headed to a home with two kitties to befriend (and Poptart LOVES playing with other cats), two dogs who were adopted from here within the last year, and humans with huge hearts. In a home environment, we have high hopes that Poptart will learn that he is loved and safe, and become a totally different cat! Poptart is the last of our hoarding house crew to find a great forever home, and we are overjoyed to have given these 9 cats a chance at a new life.
My name is Poptart! A bunch of my buddies and I arrived at the SPCA from a hoarding situation many months ago. It was a tough adjustment when we first arrived, but a lot of my friends have since found forever homes (where they have really opened up and are thriving!), and I'm one of the only ones still searching for mine. I know they're out there! I am a very curious little guy, and I can usually be found sitting at the door watching all the goings-on of the shelter. I am still very skittish though, and prefer to be a wallflower and observe from a distance. I love exploring my room, cuddling up with my buddies, and climbing my cat trees as high as they go. When the staff are cleaning my room in the morning, I enjoy coming out into the lobby to play with toys, race around the hallways (I'm so speedy!), and watch the other kitties in their rooms. I don't let humans touch me very often yet, but I am slowly being won over with treats! I would enjoy a home with another feline friend to keep me company, as I am very used to having buddies around. I will need love and patience, but I am so curious about people that I am sure once I feel safe, I will become a loving little cat!
