Marshall

Hey, I'm Marshall, nice to meet you! Don't let my size intimidate you - I may be big for a German Shepherd, but I've got a heart of gold! I'd much rather be in a home than at the shelter, but I am settling in okay. I am a lover of belly rubs, playing outside, and learning new things. I'm very smart and look to my people for direction, and am a very loyal dog to the people I love! I have a big voice, and can have an intense demeanor, but underneath I am a soft and sensitive guy who lacks confidence. I would definitely benefit from a home with a secure yard for me to hang out in, or someone who is active and will like to take me on adventures. In my prior home I lived with children and was reportedly great with them, but because of my size and exuberance, children should be dog-savvy. I've been a bit worried while in the shelter so I haven't been interested in making dog friends, but I used to go to dog parks so once I have settled into a home and trust my people, I would definitely like a doggie companion! Cats will be a no-go for me though, the instinct to chase them is strong! It would be great if my new humans are familiar with health issues that are common with my breed, and the behavioral and training needs of German Shepherds. I can't wait to find a forever home where I will be a treasured part of the family!
