Hey, I'm Saber! I'm a Pomsky, but my size and mannerisms are a bit more Husky than Pomeranian, but I've got the loving, needy nature of a Pom! You'll quickly be drawn into my piercing ice blue eyes, fluffy and soft cloud-like coat, and certified "Good Boy" personality. I was very loved by my previous family, and they did a lot of great training with me, but unfortunate circumstances meant they couldn't keep me anymore. I'm easy going and sweet tempered, with a love of cuddles and belly rubs. I'm a dog-park dog and great with kids too, so I'll be a most excellent adventure buddy for all kinds of families! I may have been a touch TOO well loved in the food department... which is to say that I am in dire need of a weight loss and exercise plan. Right now I'm 33kg and my goal weight is 24kg so I've got a good chunk of weight to lose! The shelter staff joke that I'm all fluff, but real talk, losing this weight will be critical to my future health so I hope my new family is game to help me on my #newyearnewme weight loss journey. That means limited snackies, and lots of adventuring! I also have high grooming needs, so a family that doesn't mind making sure my coat stays properly brushed will help keep me looking and feeling my best. Can't wait to find some new besties to hang with! You won't be disappointed!

Dog-friendly: Yes, went to dog parks in previous home, excitable seeing other dogs on leash
Cat-friendly: No, they're way too much fun to chase and pounce at!
Kid-friendly: Yes
Do I Need Special Care?: I am on the start of a weight loss journey as currently my body condition score is considered a 9/9 (morbidly obese). This means a special Overweight Management food, limited treats, and a focus on exercise.
