Muggles and Tigger

Tina with Muggles and Tigger

Update: Muggles and Tigger have been adopted. Their foster family decided that adopting them would be Katrina (the boys foster mom) a birthday gift. And what a gift!

Muggles and Tigger are a bonded pair. They were surrendered into our care when their owners had to move into a nursing home that did not allow cats. These two handsome fellows are approx. 6 years old and are very loving and affectionate cats! They have stunning orange tabby coats and big green eyes! These boys love to be around people and give cuddles. (Click here to make a donation to help these wonderful cats.)

However, they faced two rather large barriers for being quickly adopted.

These boys were in foster care because after 6 years of constant human companionship they are so people oriented that they became withdrawn even in their own Cat Chalet. They did amazingly well in foster care.

The costs associated with managing Muggle’s diabetes are minimal (insulin is very inexpensive and diabetic cat food is only marginally more expensive than regular cat food). However, the cost for Muggle’s hospitalization and subsequent diagnostic tests was over $2000. Money well spent since it allowed us to change Muggle’s life.

Muggles and Tigger have become another success story because of the specialized individual care provided.
