We are thrilled to announce that we are accepting Vendor Applications for our Paws & Prints 2025 Summer Market!
If you're a potter, painter, photographer, writer, illustrator, musician, comedian, crafter, author, or somewhere in between or beyond we would encourage you to apply! In addition to great talent, we're also hoping to find some pet-focused artists who would be willing to take commissions from visitors.
Along with amazing talent, we will also be hosting a community corner, snacks and beverages, and an afternoon of connection!
If you are interested in applying, please read the FAQ below. Then fill out a Vendor Application Form and email to events@bowvalleyspca.org or drop off in-person at the Adoption Centre during public hours (Wed to Sat, noon to 4pm).

Who can apply?
We encourage applications from artists, crafters, musicians, and vendors. Ideally we are looking for local talent and handmade product!
We are also on the lookout for artists who offer pet-focused products, and those who would be willing to take commissions.

Is there a fee?
Yes, there is a non-refundable table fee for approved vendors. It is by donation with a $25 minimum, and must be paid by June 21, 2025 at 4pm (cash or card).
Failure to pay the fee will result in cancellation of a vendor's spot. There is no refund for cancellations.
There is no further cost to be a vendor. Any sales or commissions a vendor makes during the market belong fully to them.

Do I need a portfolio to apply?
No, a portfolio of your work is not required. Please include a link to your website or social media account in the application form where we can view your work.
If you do not have a social media account or website, you are welcome to send photos of your work along with your application.

I have limited product, but take commissions. Can I still apply?
Yes! Artists who are willing to take commissions are encouraged to apply.
If you are approved as a vendor we suggest you bring:
- A portfolio of your work
- Have a work-in-progress on site so visitors can see you in action
- Have a method of connecting with you (business card, QR code, etc.).

What do I need to bring?
The BVSCPA will provide a single table. All table decorations and displays are the responsibility of the vendor.
We recommend bringing:
- Your product
- Promotional material (business cards, brochures, posters, etc).
- Cash float & payment machine
- Extension cord if you require electrical outlets (please note these are limited)

How do I receive payment for my sales?
Vendors are required to have their own payment processing system, including a cash float.
The BVSPCA is unable to accept or process payments on behalf of vendors. There is no cash machine or float on site for vendors or visitors to access.

Am I guaranteed sales?
No, the BVSPCA cannot guarantee any sales or commissions at at the market. Any costs for the market (production, materials, advertising, transportation, travel) are at the expense of the vendor.

What licenses do I need to attend?
Vendors are required to know the licenses, insurances, and requirements for their product or business and make sure they are in proper order. By filling out the application form, vendors are certifying they have the appropriate documentation and licensing, and full legal rights to sell and distribute their product.
The BVSPCA is not liable for any infringement or neglect a vendors part to obey copyright, creative laws, or bylaws.

Is there access to power and/or internet?
We have limited outdoor electrical outlets. If you need access to electricity, please state so in your application. You will be required to bring your own power cords, extension cords, etc.
Internet access will be provided to attending vendors as required.
There is no access to BVSPCA computer or payment systems.

Can I donate my product to the BVSPCA or leave what I don't sell?
We are unable to accept physical product donations or retain items that are left after the market.
Vendors are responsible for both transporting their product to and from the market.

Can I use the BVSPCA as a drop-off location for finished commissions?
No, the BVSCPA is unable to be involved in the transaction of commissions at any point, aside from hosting the vendor at the market. Vendors are responsible for all aspects of their commission, from payment to delivery.

Can I make monetary donations to the BVSPCA?
Yes! We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community. If you wish to make donations during your attendance at the market or later, you are more than welcome to. Tax receipts will be issued for personal donations of $20 or more.*
*Please note that if you choose to advertise at the market that your sales will be going to the BVSPCA, we are unable to issue a tax receipt for this amount raised.
Please note that there is no requirement, obligation, or expectation for vendors to donate back to the BVSPCA.

What happens if my product gets damaged at the market?
As the market will be held outdoors, there is risk for damage to product. As part of the application, the vendor agrees to not hold the BVSPCA liable for any damages incurred for any reason to their product.

Will you promote vendors prior to the market?
Yes! We will be promoting attending vendors on our website and social media channels. Vendors are encouraged to announce their attendance and share on their own channels.
Further details on tagging us for the event will be given to approved vendors.

What is your Cancellation Policy?
Once a vendor has been approved and the table fee received, there is no refund for cancellations. If an applicant needs to withdraw their application or attendance before payment has been received, they are able to do so at no cost.

What if weather turns for the worst?
If the weather becomes unsuitable for an outdoor market, we will arrange for a different weekend with the vendors.
Vendor Agreement
As a vendor applicant (and if approved) for the Paws & Prints 2025 Summer Market:
- I acknowledge that:
- All work/products are my own, and I have the full legal rights to sell and distribute. The BVSPCA is not liable for any infringement or neglect on my part to obey copyright and creative laws.
- Any product I bring will be family-friendly and pet-friendly.
- As the market will be outdoors, there is risk of damage to my work. I agree to not hold the BVSPCA liable for any damages incurred for any reason to my work.
- I agree that I am responsible to:
- Provide my own promotional materials (pricing, packaging, business card, poster, QR codes, etc.)
- Bring table displays and decorations (the BVSPCA will provide one table per vendor).
- Transport my product to and from the market (the BVSPCA will not display or sell product in the Centre before or after the market, and any items left behind will be donated to the local thrift store).
- Collect and process payment at the market myself, including bringing my own cash float (the BVSPCA is not able to process transactions for vendors).
- Follow through on any commissions I take, from payment to delivery (the BVSPCA will not be involved in any capacity, or as a drop-off or pick-up location).
- Adhere to all BVSPCA directions and guidelines while in attendance.
- I understand that:
- The table fee is non-refundable (by donation, $25 minimum) and must be paid by June 21, 2025 at 4pm (cash or card). Failure to pay the fee will result in cancellation of my attendance at the market. There is no refund for cancellations.
- The Bow Valley SPCA does not guarantee sales or commissions at the market and any costs for the market (production, materials, advertising, transportation, travel) are at my expense.
- I understand that submission of this application does not guarantee me as a vendor. Approval will be based on suitability and category availability.
