The people behind the paws!

Our Bow Valley SPCA staff team recently had the opportunity to step away from the shelter for a special day at The Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, and we’re so grateful for the chance to spend some time together, learn, laugh, and recharge.

We may be a small team, but we are a mighty one! Every single person on our staff plays an important role in making sure we can continue caring for animals in our community.

• Our incredible Animal Care Attendants are the behind-the-scenes superstars who show up every day for our residents, providing care, comfort, enrichment, cleaning, medication, cuddles, and so much more. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them as our foundation!
• Our amazing Administrator, Julie keeps us organized, keeps events and programs running smoothly, creates effective and beautiful marketing and promotional materials, and somehow manages to keep track of all the many moving pieces behind the scenes.
• Our fabulous Animal Operations Coordinator, Jaime takes care of the important details that keep our Centre running, from data entry and animal record tracking to inventory and animal chauffeur, all while helping keep our facility clean and welcoming.
• And our wonderful Adoption Centre Manager, Daisy wears so many hats, from coordinating intakes and adoptions, to managing staff, animals, and just about everything in between.

Behind every animal we care for is a team of dedicated people who make it possible. We truly couldn’t do what we do without our incredible staff team!

This day was a little reminder that while our work can be busy and sometimes challenging, it’s also pretty special to do it alongside people who care so deeply about animals and each other.

Our team enjoyed learning all about wolfdogs at The Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, sharing a picnic, and having some much-needed time to relax and connect.
