About Anna-Belle
Howdy, y'all! My name is Anna-Belle, and I'm a Southern belle who's finally ready for a brand-new chapter. I've done my mama duties and raised my precious babies, Howdy and Dixie, and now it's my turn to be spoiled! These days, I'm learning all about the comforts of home life, and let me tell you, it's pretty wonderful. Soft beds, tasty treats, kind people... I could get used to this!
Since living in a home will still be new to me, I'm working hard on my manners. I'm learning how to walk nicely on a leash, how to "sit" and "down," and how to take treats gently. Between you and me, I'm very food motivated, so that's quite an accomplishment! One of my favorite discoveries has been human affection. I'll quickly lean right on in for ear scritchies, or curl up beside you for some belly rubs. I'm a gentle, sweet girl who enjoys soaking up all the attention I can get.
But don't go thinking I'm all porch swings and sweet tea, this cowgirl still has some pep in her step! I'm still young, and when the mood strikes, I let loose with some wild bucking zoomies that'll have you laughing in no time. I'm becoming more playful every day and starting to show off my fun, silly side.
I'm looking for a family who will be patient as I continue learning and give me all the love! In return, I promise to be your loyal companion, your cuddle buddy, and your favorite Southern sweetheart. So, what do you say? Are you ready to help this retired mama ride off into the sunset and into her happily-ever-after?
Dog-friendly: Lived with other dogs previously, but will do best with slow, controlled introductions to new dogs. I must be separated from other dogs around food/high value treats.
Cat-friendly: Untested, likely yes with training and gradual introductions.
Kid-friendly: Untested, likely yes.
Do I Need Special Care?: No
