Hello! I'm Lucille! My friend and I came to the SPCA together after being found dumped outside. I am a sweet lady and a perfect size for those who want a larger dog breed vibe, but in a smaller dogs body! I am letting curiosity help break me out of my shell, as I am a little shy, but eager to see more of the world. Every day I get braver, and my puppy-like qualities are starting to shine, including being very playful and full of spunk. I love being outside and I would enjoy a family or companion who enjoys it as well. I'm a great age to start training with and I would love to meet some other dogs and humans to build my confidence up even more. I need lots of patient training to help shape my puppy-habits into polite dog habits, but I am very eager to please, especially if you've got a cookie for me! Other than my buddy, I can be a bit defensive around other dogs (particularly big, loud ones), but I think once I meet some gentle friendly canines I will realize how much fun there is to be had! Very slow, patient introductions will be key! I saw a cat that hissed at me, but I kept my cool and gave it space, so I think a cat friend would be okay with proper introductions. Indoor spaces are a bit strange to my still, as my world was primarily outside before, so the quicker I can get into a loving home, the better! I'm quite nervous of the car, but I think once I see that the car goes fun places, I will warm up to car rides. I will need to be housetrained, but I'm a smart cookie so I'm picking it up quickly. Despite the odd shy moment, I love giving kisses, getting head scratches and, of course, I love a good belly rub. I can't wait to see where my next adventure takes me!
